Battlefield Observation & Awareness

BOA's are a group of volunteer veteran players who assist new players in getting familiar with mechanics and tactics in-game and out-of-game to further their skill in the Tabor landscape.

These BOA's are experts in all things Ghosts of Tabor to allow for an easy to understand learning experience from a friendly and knowledgeable instructor.

STEP #1 🐍: Join the Discord & Find the "Request a BOA" channel.

When requesting a BOA, make sure to have a working means of communication:

⚪️ = Quest Party Call

🔵 = Discord Voice Channel

Follow all Prompts & Questions!
After that, just wait for a BOA to join your thread and schedule a session with you. It may take some time to have someone join the thread as we are a small volunteer group.

STEP #2 🐍🐍: When a BOA joins your thread, schedule your session

A BOA or BOA Recruit will join your thread to offer times of availablity.
Sessions are typically 30mins ~ 1.5hrs.
- With that, try to utilize a discord timestamp creator that localizes times.

  - Be sure to PING or REPLY-TO all messages in your ticket.
  - BOA have muted most of the discord and will only respond to red ping indicators.

Please be on-time to your scheduled session!

STEP #3 🐍🐍🐍: Run your session (Bring Questions!)

Run the session

Come prepared with all the questions you may have generated between starting the game on your own and your session with a BOA. They are a Subject Matter Expert in having fun in Tabor.

You can trust in our BOA to teach you the ways of the game on how to enjoy Ghosts Of Tabor to its fullest.

STEP #4 🐍🐍🐍🐍: Closing YOUR session/ticket

Once you FINISH a session your BOA will close your ticket for you.
Rate your BOA on a scale from 1-5 with the ticket bot DM that follows closure of the ticket.
- If you don't need your ticket, you can let the Lead, Senior or Helpful ticket members know and they will close the ticket for you
- Once you've run 2-3 tickets and are confident with the game, we encourage all users to utilize the Group-Finder channel to find players to run the raids with.

We're volunteers, we do not get paid to babysit unruly players

Please behave during your session(s). We reserve the right to blacklist all users who cause trouble & ban from the discord repeat offenders

BOA's are volunteers with their own schedule, please be patient as they schedule you for a session.
BOA's reserve the right to not reply or engage in a session with you.
BOA’s are not an escort or carry service, do not expect them to give out gear or do quests.
BOA's have the right to stop a session if the beginner is being rude or profane, at their discretion.
Being unnecessarily rude or combative in ⁠🐍・request-a-boa may lead to your removal and blacklist.
If you partner with a BOA and kill them intentionally, you risk being banned from utilizing this service as well as losing eligibility to become a BOA.
Discord BOA’s are expected to instruct new players in ⁠🐍・request-a-boa and assist more generally in ⁠❓・questions.

Application criteria:

Present in the server for 45+ days.
Experienced and knowledgeable.
Demonstrating compassionate behaviors.
300~ messages in the server. (preferred)

Expectations:

Assist in helping 3 newbies per month for at least 3 months as a recruit.
Do the same but as a BOA.
Be active in Questions text channels.
Streaming is optional.

These BOA have risen above and beyond and have taught 15+ players about Ghost of Tabor in a 30 day timeframe OR they were the leader in sessions for the month.
